Description & Tasting Notes:
The grapes for our Sea Smoke Sauvignon Blanc comes from a very special block situated 455 meters above sea level. making it the highest vineyard in the Durbanville Wine Valley. Its name was derived from the cool ocean mist that often covers the vines. also known as sea smoke.
Matured on its lees (Sur Lie) for 9 months, this flagship, single vineyard wine has a delightful flintiness on the nose. The palate expresses hints of green fig, pear and asparagus with an elegant mineral finish.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve well chilled and enjoy with mussels, marinated grilled prawns, smoked chicken and salmon, roast vegetables, sole, paella and trout salad. Drink it now or let it bottle-mature for another 3-4 years.
